DNA Tribes Privacy Policy
DNA Tribes is committed to the highest standards of genetic confidentiality and anonymity.
DNA Tribes does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people
or companies.
When you order your DNA Tribes analysis, our laboratory partner will send you a cheek
swab kit with a prepaid return envelope addressed to our partner lab. Your kit will be
labeled with a tracking number that the lab will use to identify your results. Once your
genetic sample is processed in the lab, DNA Tribes will analyze your results and email
them to you. All DNA samples are stored for 6 months after processing is complete.
Your DNA Tribes Native Population Match, Global Population Match, and World Region
Match results do not identify you personally. However, your Genetic Profile (Part A of your
results) is a unique identifier, and we recommend that you treat that portion of your results
as strictly confidential. DNA Tribes will not share, post, or otherwise disclose your
personal Genetic Profile to any third parties without your permission.
Anonymous, aggregate customer data may be collected and used for research purposes
or to improve the quality of our services. This anonymous, aggregate data is never used in
any way that can identify any customer individually. If you would like your data excluded
from anonymous aggregate DNA analysis for internal research and development
purposes, please email optout@dnatribes.com.
