- Asia Minor: The East Mediterranean to the Iranian Plateau and the Tarim Basin.
- East Asian: Mainland East Asia including China and adjacent regions.
- European: The European Subcontinent.
- Latin American: Native Central and South Americans with recent European influence.
- Malay Archipelago: The island region of Southeast Asia.
- North African: Natives of North Africa.
- North Indian: Northern India centered on the Indo-Gangetic Plain.
- Northern Native American: Native North Americans (excluding Alaskans).
- Polynesian: Natives of the Polynesian Islands.
- South Asian: The Indian Subcontinent.
- Sub-Saharan African: Africa south of the Sahara Desert.

Updated Twelve Cluster Analysis for June 21, 2006
As we continue to expand our global population database, we are able to refine our algorithm to provide our customers with state of the art personal ancestry analysis. Using proprietary statistical methods, we have now identified twelve well defined clusters present in our global population database: - Alaskan: Native Alaskans.
- Arabian & North African: The Arabian Peninsula and North Africa.
- Asia Minor: Anatolia and the Iranian Plateau to the Tarim Basin.
- East Asian: Mainland East Asia including China and adjacent regions.
- European: The European Subcontinent.
- Latin American: Native Central and South Americans with recent European influence.
- Malay Archipelago: The island region of Southeast Asia.
- North Indian: Northern India centered in the Uttar Pradesh region.
- Northern Native American: Native North Americans (excluding Alaskans).
- Polynesian: Natives of the Polynesian Islands.
- South Asian: The Indian Subcontinent.
- Sub-Saharan African: Africa south of the Sahara Desert.

Updated Nine Cluster Analysis for June 11, 2006

- Malay Archipelago: The island region of Southeast Asia.

- Northern Native American: Native North Americans (excluding Alaskans).
- South Asian: The Indian Subcontinent. Also found as a secondary influence in the Middle East and North Africa.
 In addition to the two newly defined clusters, Alaskan and Malay Archipelago, each previously described cluster has been sharpened by the inclusion of new data in our comprehensive global population analysis. New sample results have been posted for the following populations: Chippewa (Ojibwa)InupiatPhilippineAs of this update, the scaling for Native/Global and Continent Match MLI scores has been adjusted. The current scoring system is described in all sample results.
